SIA Close Protection Training Courses

thumbnailThis course is aimed at those wishing to qualify as Close Protection Operatives (CPO) in order to gain the Security Industry Authority (SIA) close protection licence. The course aims and objectives are designed in line with current SIA legislation and HABC (awarding body) assessment criteria and is structured as an intense course and attendance of the 139.5 contact hours is a must in order to gain the qualification. The course will involve long working days with some evening work to be completed to achieve the standards of all the assessment criteria. Although the course requires a lot of classroom time to learn the knowledge and skills of a CPO much of the course involves practical demonstrations, planning exercises and a live final exercise. The Level 3 qualification gives a credit value of 16 credits on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)

SIA Licence

To apply for the SIA Close Protection licence it is a requirement to have a valid 3 day First Aid at Work qualification for your application to be approved. However this is not a requirement to complete the CP course and if required this can be delivered by C Company training ltd but is at an additional cost and is an extra 3 days of instruction.

Instructors

All our instructors are operational in the close Protection sector and are fully qualified to deliver all aspects of the training. The instructors are experienced in all fields including hostile environment, executive and diplomatic protection as well as having British Military backgrounds.

Assessment

The qualification is assessed by means of an externally set multiple choice exam of 60 questions over 2 hours and an internally set portfolio of evidence, tasks and projects to be externally moderated.
